Mechanism

  • With aging, the collagen & elastin fibers in our skin start decreasing, causing the skin to wrinkle & sag. To reverse this, HIFU stimulates collagen growth by sending ultrasonic energy into dermis layer. This energy causes a small injury to the tissue. When tissue heals, it produces new collagen that tightens the skin naturally.
  • To, achieve this, HIFU technologies target different layers of skin that affect our facial appearance-Epidermis, dermis, subcutaneous fat & superficial muscular aponeurotic system (SMAS)
  • Skin tightening occurs due to collagen contraction and induction of new collagen fibers.

Side effects

Mild redness may appear which lasts for few hours or for two days. Some mild swelling or tingling may occur temporarily.

Procedure

The whole procedure takes around 30-45 minutes for the facial treatment. There is a feeling of warmth during the sessions. There is no pain during the procedure. HIFU facelift depends on the areas that are to be treated along with the number of sessions required for the desired result.

Results

Some visible improvement is seen immediately after the procedure. Results may take up to 3 months to show & lasts for the next few months after treatment sessions, though, each individual may respond differently to the treatment.
